We are forced once again to interrupt Bills Week in order to bring an important matter to your attention: Defector is adding the Nothing But Respect basketball podcast to its robust and ever-growing portfolio of media offerings.
For those of you who are not familiar with Nothing But Respect, it is a weekly basketball podcast hosted by Defector staff writer Patrick Redford and friend-of-Defector Harry Krinsky. If you are under the impression that the closeness of Defector's relationship to Patrick and Harry made this acquisition a simple matter, think again: Patrick spent the first six weeks of the negotiation process asking for "points on the back end" without ever explaining what that meant.
But that is neither here nor there. What's important for you to know is that Nothing But Respect will now live on Defector, in partnership with our good friends at Multitude, who help bring you The Distraction every week. You will be welcome to join Patrick, Harry, and various guests each week as they discuss all things basketball. If you're a WNBA fan, you'll be excited to hear that Maitreyi Anantharaman will be a regular contributor.
